The College of Control and Systems Engineering held a workshop entitled “Applications of Artificial Intelligence in the Internet of Things” on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 12 noon. The workshop, delivered by Lect. Rasul Haitham Hadi and Asst. Lect. Rasul Adel Kadhum, included a comprehensive explanation of how to employ artificial intelligence in Internet of Things systems by designing systems that mimic human intelligence by transforming data into actionable insights and decision-making. The workshop also presented key AI applications in various fields, such as smart homes, healthcare devices, smart agriculture, and smart cities. It also discussed the challenges and limitations facing these applications, in addition to reviewing future trends in AI development in this field. The workshop was attended by a number of the college staff members who enriched the discussion through their contributions and inquiries.
